As is the case with all antiques and collectibles condition is everything...... When buying any item always inspect it's condition, compare it to other pieces like it and buy the one in the best condition you can. Some items may have just a ever so tiny chip, usually these are sold at a much lower price...see that it shows (displays) well, sometimes the chip or hairline is not noticeable and will still show well in your display cabinet or shelf...Buying a piece in the best condition will be an investment and a demonstration of your appreciation for quality and the best.
